SCOT-PEP is a registered charity dedicated to the promotion of sex workers’ rights, health and dignity. We are members of the Global Network of Sex Work Projects (NSWP), International Committee on the Rights of Sex Workers in Europe (ICRSE) and the UK Network of Sex Work Projects (UKNSWP), and although our primary focus is on Scotland, we view ourselves as a proud and active member of the global movement to have sex work recognised as work.
Our Board of Directors governs the day-to-day running of the project, but our Campaign Group forms the heart of the organisation. Comprised of members of the Board, and including active and retired sex workers and allies, the Campaign Group directs our activities, including engaging with politicians on a local and national level, steering our responses to policy and legislative proposals, ongoing participation in ideological debates and promotion of our own legislative agenda. If you are interested in finding out more about how you can get involved in SCOT-PEP see here.
We are also fortunate to have the support of several Patrons who actively support our work:
- Brooke Magnanti
- Tuppy Owens
- Lionel Joyce CBE, OBE
We were delighted when the Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations' Trust (EVOT) awarded SCOT-PEP a one-year grant towards our running costs, in August 2014.
